SPERONI: Sperone Speroni (1500-1588) and the Rebirth of Sophistry in the Italian Renaissance

The project analyze the singular figure of Sperone Speroni, a philosopher and scholar from Padua who lived in the sixteenth century. It brings to the attention the interest of this intellectual for the Sophists, on whom he wrote in vernacular.
